How to get and receive Monero (XMR)
Monero is a cryptocurrency built for privacy: amounts, senders and receivers are hidden on its blockchain. Many exchanges no longer list it, so swapping is a common way to get it.
Get a wallet
Use a wallet where you control the keys, for example:
- Cake Wallet (phone), Feather Wallet (desktop), or the official Monero GUI wallet.
Write down the 25-word seed (some wallets use 16 words) and keep it offline. Anyone with the seed controls the coins.
Which address to give us
- A Monero address starts with 4 (main address) or 8 (subaddress) and is 95 characters long.
- Wallets let you create a new subaddress for every payment. That is the best choice: it cannot be linked to your other payments.
- Integrated addresses (106 characters) also work.
Paste the whole address; the page checks its format before you can continue.
Swapping to XMR
- Choose what you send, for example USDT (TRC20), and XMR as what you receive.
- Enter the amount on either side and paste your Monero address.
- Pay the exact amount shown on the order page.
After your payment is confirmed we send the XMR. Monero transfers need about 10 confirmations (about 20 minutes) before your wallet lets you spend them; your wallet may show them as "locked" until then.
Swapping from XMR
Choose XMR as what you send. Monero payments are detected once they reach the blockchain, and the swap continues after the confirmations the payment system needs.
Good habits
- Use a new subaddress for each swap.
- Keep the wallet synced before you expect a payment.
- Check the first and last characters of the address after pasting.
